PROTECTION MECHANISM OF GLMAG
GLMAG technology offers exceptional corrosion resistance through the synergy of Aluminium (Al), Zinc (Zn), and Magnesium (Mg). The GLMAG coating forms a stronger and more durable bond than conventional galvanized coatings, providing effective steel protection even in coastal or heavy industrial environments.
GLMAG features a self-healing mechanism that protects the steel substrate even when scratched, drilled, or impacted. Thanks to the combination of Aluminium, Zinc, and Magnesium, the coating acts as an active barrier that seals the damaged area, restores protection, prevents corrosion from spreading, and ensures long-lasting durability.
LEADING ADVANTAGES OF GLMAG COATING TECHNOLOGY
TECHNOLOGY VALIDATION
GLMAG-coated steel delivers outstanding corrosion resistance on flat surfaces, reducing the penetration of rust-causing agents by 5–7 times compared to conventional galvanized (GI) coatings.
Salt spray test (JIS Z2371 standard) — conducted at 35°C with continuous spraying of 5% NaCl solution for 2,000 hours — has proven that GLMAG significantly outperforms GI in corrosion resistance.
Self-healing mechanism – alloy sealing at cut edges and drilled holes – increases corrosion resistance up to 10 times compared to GI-coated steel. The product has high ductility, does not crack during forming, retains the coating firmly, and minimizes rust.

GLMAG has excellent adhesion between the metallic coating and the paint layer, providing superior performance when used as a material for PCM color-coated steel sheets in both interior and exterior construction. GLMAG enhances paint adhesion, facilitates the coating process, and improves product aesthetics.
